Kali was five years old when she had her first experience seeing, feeling, and sensing spirit. After many years of battling her gifts and only choosing to show her gifts to select friends and family, in 1991 a traumatic event brought her abilities wholly to the surface.
Kali was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, but moved to Texas when she was just six years old. Though she did spend most of her youth in Texas, she considers her current state of Tennessee her home—discovering her history as a member of one of the first families of Tennessee with a lineage of healing and empath abilities.
Kali has been reading tarot and worked as an empathic channel and healer for over 30 years. She does private readings and also books group events both public and private. She teaches and facilitates workshops on how to read tarot cards, using the tarot to cure writer’s block, how chakra and breathing align you to your higher self, and how to use intuition to journal your way through healing physical and emotional pain.
She also guest lectures college courses where she uses her gifts to get the impressions of spirits who have passed. She uses the students’ personal presence or photos/objects owned by their family and friends who have passed away.
Kali received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and an MFA in creative writing from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. She is also an established writer, public speaker, college educator, academic and actress who enjoys cooking and spending time with her boyfriend and her animal companions Twig, Emma Sue, Kit'N, and the spirit of Miss Mitsie Pinkish.
